  • Urvashi joined Tasawwur on the 1st of August as our Development Manager. We first met Urvashi while she was doing her BA in English literature from St. Stephens College, writing beautiful poetry, and conducting wonderful interviews with contemporary Indian English writers for the online magazine Helter Skelter. Since then, she has done a Masters' in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the University of East Anglia in the UK, and worked at Avasara Academy, an NGO that facilitates girls' education in Mumbai and Pune. From the beginning, Urvashi impressed us with the complete sincerity and thoroughness with which she approaches every task, as well as with her quiet passion for feminism and for words.
